Sticky date and orange pudding

185g Dates

1 Tsp Bicarb soda

1/2 Tsp Orange zest

1/4 Cup Orange juice

45g Butter

3/4 cup Caster sugar

2 Eggs

1 and 1/4 Cup SR flour

3/4 cup boiling water


chop dates and soak in the boiling water beat the butter and sugar till fluffy add eggs one at a time add flour add juice, zest and dates


Divide into ramekins and cook in a bain marie, covered with foil at 180C for 20 mins for sauce .... melt butter and sugar add the rest and boil 3/4 cup brown sugar 45g butter 1/2 tsp orange rind 1/4 cup orange juice 1/4 cup cream
