More a technique than a recipe really - the filling can be pretty much anything that takes your fancy!
Use the Basic Bread Dough recipe
Just roll out the bread dough to a large rectangle and spread it on, I'm using chopped red pepper Harissa paste and black olives.
(I also added a few chopped black olives to the basic dough mixture.)
Roll up from the long side, then spit it right down the middle as shown, but leave it attached at one end.
Then twist it, kinda like your're wringing out a cloth so it turns around on itself. Then join the two ends to make a circle.
Allow to rest for 40 minutes or until roughly double in size and bake at 180C for 25 - 30 minutes.
Cool, cut and serve.
I like to leave it in the round shape once cut so you get that WOW factor!
Try it with...
Parma ham and goat cheese
Pesto and Mozzarella
Bacon and Cheddar
