Tomato puree 1/2 cup
Soy sauce 1/4 cup
Coke 2 cups
Orange juice 2 cups
BBQ sauce 1 cup
Ketchup 3 cup
Equal amounts of Coke and Orange juice, and the rest to taste.
Mix all the ingredients together
Marinade ribs overnight
Braise the ribs in the oven for a very long time 4 - 6 hours at 100C - check after 3 hours as time will vary slightly depending on thickness of meat on the ribs.
I usually do this the day before so I can handle the ribs when cooler so they don’t fall apart.
Reduce the braising liquid to a syrup.
To serve, char grill the ribs then brush with the sauce and heat through in oven, brush with more sauce to finish.
(I served one whole rack of ribs, about 8-10 for each person.)
